A study of Mercury CGI based on the Messenger photo mosaics. As these contain lighting and shadows, it was tricky to try and get a proper 3d object out - the bump map is a fake. Its also clear that some areas are a lot less detailed than others, but overall I am fairly happy - its the best CGI mercury I have managed so far.
