Welcome to a place of vision and beauty. Welcome to the world of space art.

Tunguska event

My effort to suggest the majesty and awesome scale of such a thing. Not commissioned, but painted on the spur of the moment just before the 100th annivesary of the event.

Don, my sincere congratulations and thanks! Your work is great! As you know, Springer New York used it for the cover of a book they recently published – “The Tunguska Mystery”, authored by Vladimir Rubtsov, that is by me. ;-) Now I would like to submit this cover to the Book Cover Archive (http://bookcoverarchive.com); would you agree?
Best! Sincerely, Vladimir. http://www.TunguskaMystery.info

I think your effort succeeded, Don. This visualization is astounding! The incorporation of real Physics always makes things appear more interesting. I love the non-symmetrical expanding shock wavefront, the reflection off the ground, and the shadows cast by the plume visible in the sky. Great stuff!
