Hey Richard. Thank you for the kind words regarding my space hardware. Yes indeed, CG is especially well-suited for that kind of thing. FYI, I just want to make it clear again that unlike some of the master model makers represented here, e.g., David Robinson, all of my space hardware is kit-bashed, if not outright purchased right off the shelf (3DS Max by the way is a terrific model-building/assembling tool). My contribution is primarily in texturing and tweaking these models and arranging them into a scene that--hopefully--tells a story.
Some viewers may be surprised to learn that all of Richard's beautiful work is painted, in acrylics, some large, some quite small. No digital! I think we really need some way for artists to attach titles and some details of what a work represents and how it is created. John -- ?
